Light so bright i go blind,
Dark so cold my thoughts freeze solid,
Clouded by your stunning beauty,
I breath in,
I breath out,
Oh the danger of my feelings,
If you knew would you leave me,
Leave me from the confusion felt,
Leave me for the life you hate,
Please oh please make me wrong,
Say you see me more than friends,
Say you want me need me just the same,
Standing with you,
Warmed by touch,
Clear as day you are mine,
Mine to hold,
Mine to love,

Earth Moon Possible beginning
A high pitched scream ripped through the darkness bringing conscious thought to Damien. At first his thoughts were muddled by the groggy spell of sleep but as it faded a fear inside of him bloomed. That scream was surly of a child, and that child was in pain.
Frantically he searched for it but darkness was everywhere and he couldn’t see his own hand in front of his face. He couldn’t calm himself as the scream was still there coming not from just one direction but rather all. This disturbed him, his sense of sight and hearing were useless what else was there to use?
He didn’t stop looking but the screams began to die away and he knew something awful had happened. A self loathing overcame him as he hadn’t been able to do anything. What had happened to the kid?
His mind faded soon after that into the black void but even then he couldn’t lose the thought what had happened? No answer was forthcoming and he wondered whether there had actually ever been a child. It seemed that everything that had happened wanted to fade away into the nothingness around him.
It was tempting to forget all about it but when considered he always thought of how terrifying that noise was. The pain inside it that he could almost feel and if it wasn’t his imagination, then the disgust and hate that seemed so infectious, was this really from the scream or was Damien’s personal feelings corrupting his memory?
These thoughts played through his mind all night and then it came. At first he wasn’t even aware of it but eventually the pull became stronger and he knew it was his time to leave the black void where all were one.
His memories were becoming foggy and unclear of what had transpired in the night but still Damien held on to them wanting more time to contemplate what they were and try and find a way to redeem himself.
As the light split through the darkness he blinked wishing it to go away and leave him be. The noonday sun glares in on him from the sole window in the small cluttered room daring him to try and go back to sleep.
Setting up Damien feels hot and sticky even though it’s fairly cool out. For a moment the morning is the same as always but then it comes to him. His dream, what had happened? It had seemed so important and now he could make out very little of it. When he had retrieved everything he thought and decided it was a stupid dream with no meaning of any kind and moved on with his daily preparations.

Fire Thought
The darkness of the night hid all there was that lay beyond the window. Many times had Bryan been warned of the dangers of night but still he was fascinated by it. When the moon light bathed the yard with its spectacular silver touch something called to him.
On this particular night the clouds blocked the light but still Bryan could feel it, a smothered version but it was there telling him to go outside. The thought found its way to his head as always, "Come on Bryan nothing will happen to you. You'll be safe, come outside." As soon as it came to him he waited, this was always the time, the man came and yelled at him.
That thought always was a loud one but this time there was no thundering up the stairs to him, it was strangely silent. "You'll be safe I told you now, come." It was spoken gently into his head and again Bryan waited for the man to come, but as before no one came.
Very slowly he walked across the room and opened the door. There was usually a creak that could wake the dead but this time...silence as it swung easily on its hinges. Could it be that the Man was letting him out of his room? Alone?
"Don't be stupid, he wouldn't let you out." there was a harsh and hurt undertone to this thought that scared Bryan some, but it was nothing compared to the Man's. Gently he padded down the stairs and came to the front door. He'd been outside before but always under the watchful eye's of the Man and never at night. This was something new, and a bit exciting. With a small grin on his face Bryan unlocked the door and opened it up.
Stepping out on the porch, shadows rushed to meet him, a sense of comfort came over him now as he was cloaked by the darkness around him. Making his way across the yard his head began to ache and suddenly it was as though a cloud had been lifted and a sense of awareness came over him.
"BOY!" shouted the man from the porch staring into the dark, "YOU GET BACK HERE NOW!" anger could be felt in the darkness all around Bryan but there was also a hint of fear. Why Bryan was unsure but he was almost positive the the Man was scared of him.
Suddenly another presence was in the yard, "He doesn't have to return." said the voice in Bryan's head but also in the air around him, "He has left you and your magic can have no effect over his mind now."
"I know that but I don't only have the power of thought!" the man said but the surety of his words weren't of much there was now doubt in his mind.
"Your powers may have worked on him as a child but now he is free and his strength is enough to resist you!" the contempt felt from these words were amazing, and terrifying. Bryan didn't want to be here he didn't want to hear this, a head ache had been mounting and there was just to much.
He began running into the trees that surrounded the house looking back he sees a light it was of silver light not moon light...something else and now he looked at it as flames then erupted from the house. This startled him as fire was a forbidden magic and this was certainly magic...how he knew all this was beyond him but he felt like he'd always known but had been unable to access this knowledge.
Despite the fire he turned away from the flames and ran more, so as to escape the only nightmare he'd ever known.

Kyle M. - The Beginning - Part 7 Shifter Revealed and Hearts Unsealed
Clair Marell was busy getting her office set up. Being the only MMT for seventy miles was good and bad. She would get a lot of magical patients and some of the more open minded nonmagical population, but still it would take years to build up what she had in San Antonio. There were more people willing to give her power of healing a try and she had more of a reputation there.
With a sigh she rearranged the room for the umpteenth time. No matter what she did the nice hardwood desk didn’t look right with the awful faded blue walls. The building itself was in terrible condition but she loved the location on the main street. It would take time to get it looking nice but she would get there. After all they were to live there the rest of their lives most likely, she had time.
She was just about to go out and find some lunch when her cell rang. Tristan was in near hysterics, when finally Clair was able to get her calmed down some she was able to make out that Kyle was gone. Hysterics loomed at the edge of her control waiting for its opportunity to take her over. That was not what needed to be done, no, she needed control. Kyle would be found and she would help but most likely he was in the forest and she was no help there, Jet seemed perfect for the job.
Calling him sounded good but not until she called Galan.
Galan agreed that they needed to contact Jet but he insisted it was him that do it. Why she didn’t know but was fine with it. He hung up and she knew he would call immediately but in those moments on her way home with no information she felt useless and started to regret giving the right to call over so quickly.
Mentally she scolded herself. It didn’t matter who did it as long as it got done but if it didn’t matter, then why did Galan insist on doing it, another part countered. She saw the way her son avoided her and went to his father. Was it a bad thing to want to have a better relationship with her son? Again she scolded herself, how would being the one to call Jet improve her relationship with Kyle? The sad truth was it wouldn’t.
Galan may see her as the stronger of the two but who was it that never gave up trying to get through to Kyle? Not her, no that was Galan. She hadn’t meant to give up but over time it just seemed like they were on different planets aliens to each other. While she would get lost in thought he would slip away from her, eventually she just never resurfaced fighting for him, rather she was resigned to let him do as he liked.
Both of them seemed to have failed ultimately though. Now they were both wishing something in this town of no more than five thousand would bring their son out of his hiding place that had escaped them all these years. It was a stretch but they couldn’t think of anything else. Kyle had even begun to draw away from Tristan, she wouldn’t say but Clair could tell from the slightly hurt look on her daughter’s face that hid the volumes of pain inside.
With a sigh she turned into her drive, the large white house that stood against the greenery was beautiful but not even that distracted her. It had been ten minutes and still Galan had not called her. As soon as she was parked Tristan came out the door running to her.
Clair held her as she tried to hold back the tears Tristan seemed to shed for both of them. Kyle was alright she was sure of that but in the forest, where he had already almost been killed, that could change in a second. They made their way into the house slowly as Tristan would not relinquish her hold, and Clair was just fine with this. She did have a purpose at least at the moment, comforting her daughter.
When her cell rang again, the screen identified the caller as Galan, and her heart skipped a beat. Opening the phone the sweet voice of her husband sang in her ear a tired tune of disappointment.

Kyle M. - The Beginning - Part 6 Naked Truth
The morning sun beat down on Kyle as he lay on the ground. He could feel the dew evaporating around him as the heat of day was soaked in to the cool earth. At first nothing seemed wrong, it wasn’t until he couldn’t hear his sister blasting music below him that he came to his senses.
Ground? Why was he on the ground? Opening his eyes fully he blinks from the reflective sparkle of sun off the small slow moving creek. This wasn’t right, he was suppose to be in his bed. Looking around he finds himself in the forest. How had he gotten out in the middle of nowhere? There was a small moment of panic but he pushed it aside quickly. That would be no good, he needed to find his way out of this place.
Standing up he thinks that his body feels light. Looking down he notices for the first time that he’s naked. This was a surprise. He’d never woken up naked in the middle of the woods before and was seriously starting to consider whether he had drank anything the night before but as far as he could tell he hadn’t consumed any alcohol.
He’d been drunk once and the hang-over was enough to convince him to stay away from it, at least for awhile. Pushing that thought away he thinks how he could have shed all his clothing. Normally he slept in his jeans and a tee but they didn’t appear to be anywhere nearby.
By some divine intervention or pure luck he found his tee or what was left of it. A sliver of torn cloth had been draped over a bush. After closer inspection Kyle concludes that it was from his tee-shirt, this just left the question; what happened to him the night before?
The sun beat down on his bare body as he thought. He racked his brain but nothing came. All he could remember was the vivid dreams he had. Those were no help so the only plan of action he could think of that was logical was to make his way out of the forest, without cloths or knowledge both a bit of a letdown.
Having only been in the forest one other time, and not getting to explore all too much that time, he had no idea where he was. The forest was very large, but there were houses scattered out there so hopefully he would come across one before too long. His biggest worry was another energy surge like the one before. Jet had told him it had been a miracle he survived that first time, he didn’t want to push his luck.
How long he wandered around he didn’t know but the end of the forest never seemed to come. There was always another tree, the smell of damp, and pine never faded, and the sound of the wind could be heard whispering through the leaves high above. The battle of energy was a constant reminder of his surroundings and the danger they posed.
Why would the natural energy’s be going against themselves?
Hopefully his dad would figure it out soon, he may be a magical enforcer but was also a certified Sensor. His job was among other things, to find disruptions in an area and fix them. There were a lot of disruptions in the forest, if his dad couldn’t fix them they’d have to call in for help. That hardly ever happened but every now and then there were big disruptions and the nonmagical people began to take notice of the magic around them.
Despite much controversy the law restricting the knowledge of magic is one of the most enforced. There are ways to tell a nonmagical person, say if you marry them or register but it’s a pain in the ass.

Kyle M. - The Beginning - Part 5 Haunting Vision and Peaceful Skies
Alice stayed with Kyle the whole rest of the day and on into the night. Everything he thought of died away to nothing leaving behind Alice.
Replays of the scene from before kept going in his head the way she went limp. He knew she didn’t die then, no whoever took her wanted her for something rather than a thrill to kill, but even so it was in that moment that her life changed. It was then that there was no hope, her strength was gone and her mind was in the dark abyss of sleep.
He knew she didn’t dream from that sleep, no it was nothing but darkness and fear that overwhelmed her. A week passed and still the image was crystal clear in his head and something tells him there was something in there that he was missing, but what?
Tristan noticed that Kyle was acting differently as well but why she didn’t know but suspected it to have something to do with the accident in the forest. In an attempt to cheer him up she decides to take him into town. Their mom still doesn’t want him to leave the house but everyone knows that’s just because she doesn’t know how he got better so fast. It scares her for some reason.
Even their mom would listen to reason over fear, at least when its spelled out in front of her saying everyone else is aware of the same reasoning and she couldn’t pretend it wasn’t there.
She was in the kitchen making something that would most likely get two spoonfuls eaten by each then sit in the fridge until new species are discovered on it. With the smell in the air Tristan gagged, what was she making?
“Mom?” she asked cautiously to the smoke filled room.
“Over here, honey!” her mother replied from across the room. “O, this is really top much! Dispersar fume!” the smoke began to disappear through the windows until there was nothing but the shadow of it’s touch left behind. Just mom the jump to magic, Tristan thought, she made her way across the room.
“Hey mom I’m going to take Kyle into town seeing as how we live in the middle of no where now and he can’t drive.” She stared at her mother and saw the hesitation. Tristan would just have to lay it all out, “Mom, honestly Kyle, is better and there is no reason for keeping him here. Have you seen him lately? I just want to get him back to normal.” Her mother released a sigh.
She knew all of this but just didn’t want to accept it, something was different not necessarily wrong just different about Kyle she wanted to know what it was. He was still her son though not some test rat she could study. “Okay, you can go but don’t stay out to late.” It was the right thing.
“Thanks mom!” Tristan hugged her then ran off to find Kyle. Something had to be wrong when someone has that much energy, her mother mused with a small smile.
